10.06.2023 12:19:59 | A traditional press conference was held before the Berdych vs. Menšík exhibition and Svrčina vs. Macháč final match. The tournament was evaluated by Jakub Dusílek, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of UniCredit Bank Czech and Slovak Republic, Petra Černošková, Tournament Director, and Miroslav Černošek, Managing Director of TK PLUS.
"According to the expert public, the tournament ranks among the best-attended challengers, which is also the case this year. Therefore, the fact that two Czech players appear in the singles final is even more valuable. It shows we have great prospects in the men's category for the years to come and we are very happy about that," said Jakub Dusílek, CEO of UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia. "The organisation of the tournament was flawless again. Players can see it and keep coming back to Prostějov which is naturally the best reward," added Dusílek.
The organizers were also praised by the ATP management. "Only seven tournaments have ever reached thirty or more editions. Given that there are thousands of such events around the world, we have come very far indeed. Of course, our title sponsor and cooperation with the Czech Tennis Federation were a great help. It would be unthinkable to hold a tournament that costs over ten million Czech Crowns without a stable financial background," said Miroslav Černošek, the head of Prostějov tennis. "Many thanks go to my team. I have great colleagues Petr Chytil and Tomáš Cibulka and, of course, a great tournament director, my wife Petra," said Miroslav Černošek.
Petra Černošková, the director of the UniCredit Czech Open, was also satisfied with the tournament. "The player field was excellent and we, the organizers, are very happy that the Czech players succeeded in the competition. Not only those who made it up to the finals. Young players won important points before of their parents and friends and we are happy about that. This is one of the main reasons why we organize the tournament. The size of the crowd was excellent and the spectators could see a number of great matches. The only thing that bothered us a bit was the weather, but we managed to cope with it as well. I have to thank my whole team. Their dedication contributed to the fact that the anniversary tournament edition really was a worthy celebration of tennis," said the director Petra Černošková in overall evaluation of the tournament.
