Qualification? Michnev the Only Seed to Succeed
05.06.2017 16:35:34 | UniCredit Czech Open qualification was a perfect overture of the 24th edition of the Prostějov Challenger. The last seeded player was Franko Skugor of Croatia(301st) on the eighth place. Four seeded players advanced to the final qualification round – 2nd Petr Michnev, 3rd French Constant Lestienne, 7th Brazilian Joao Pedro Sorgi and 8th Croatian Skugor. Of all seeded players, Petr Michnev was the only one to make it to the main event after defeating Robin Staněk.

05.06.2017 12:49:27 | UniCredit Czech Open – Children's Day For the second time, the Prostějov T. G. Masaryka square hosted the Children's Day as part of the UniCredit Czech Open tournament. Jiří Veselý, one of the favourites of UniCredit Czech Open joined about four hundred children from Prostějov schools and played with them. " I really liked their enthusiasm and engagement in all games that were available in the square," said among other the tennis player of TK AGROFERT. The Orion radio was another partner of the project.

"We are happy that we acquired Tommy Robredo of Spain, he was world's number five in August 2006, Ernests Gulbis of Latvia was in the semifinals of Roland Garros three years ago which put him in the 10th place in ATP in June 2014. He beat Roger Federer and also our Tomáš Berdych in Paris then." Jiří Veselý and Adam Pavlásek were the only Czechs who passed to the main competition, the third player will be one of the qualifiers Michnev, Staněk.

Qualifications Culminating With One Czech Player
05.06.2017 10:12:19 | Prostějov tournament has gathered the best quality qualifiers so far in the recent history of UniCredit Czech Open. Eleven Czech tennis players are on the list, the best being Petr Michnev, aged 27, (ATP ranking 242 ). Michnev beat his countryman Jaroslav Pospíšil in the opening round, Moltchanov of Ukraine in the second round, and he made it to the third round which opens the door to the main competition. There he will face his countryman Robin Staněk and thus Czech tennis is sure to have the fourth Czech player in the main competition, besides the second seeded Jiří Veselý (57th), the eighth seeded Adam Pavlásek (97th), and Patrik Rikl with a wild card.

01.06.2017 11:18:57 | The list of participants in the 24th year of UniCredit Czech Open confirms that the best quality challenger in the Czech tennis history will be played in Prostějov from 5th to 10th of June. Thirteen tennis players from among the top 100 are on the list, other excellent players are just below the line! The Prostějov tournament has been held during the second week of Roland Garros since 1997 and, of course, the second Grand Slam of the season will decide who will finally appear in Prostějov.
