What was his journey to the last four? He beat No. 3 seed Basilashvili in the first round, qualifier Krawietz of Germany in the second, and knock off German Kicker on his way to quarter-finals.

Moreover, eight Czechs have appeared in the competition, the pairs: Kolář/Vocel, Kellovský/Michnev, and Papík/Rikl. Jebavý teamed with Chilean Podlipnik–Castillo and Pavlásek with Gomboš of Slovakia. Roman Jebavý was the only Czech who advanced to the semi-finals and he and his teammate Podlipnik–Castillo are to challenge the first seeded pair Paes/Marrero today.

First Seeded Klizan Loses to a Qualifier!

He defeated Serbian Jankovic in the first round of qualification, Slovak Liska in the second round, the French Lestienne in the match for the advance to the main event and then Austrian Melzer in the first round of UniCredit Czech Open! The victory over Klizan was his fifth one in Prostejov, it moved him to quarterfinal and he will play his next match for the advance to semifinal with Radu Albot of Moldova.
