Two-time Davis Cup champion Radek Štěpánek took to the court with up-and-coming Czech player Maxim Mrva. The match, played with a set time limit, ended in the unusual score of 6–3, 0–1, with Mrva winning the first set and Štěpánek the last game.
"It was a great honour for me to play against a legend like Radek. It was great fun. I really enjoyed it, and I believe the spectators found it just as captivating," said the promising Prostějov player after the exhibition match.
"I must thank Miroslav Černošek for the invitation. Thanks to him, I was able to enjoy the support of the local fans again. I've won the Prostějov tournament three times, which is something I've never achieved anywhere else. I have memories of those final matches that I will never forget," said Štěpánek.
