No 1 seed, Tomas Berdych, is masterfully stepping higher and higher and Bohdan Ulihrach undoubtedly desires to defend his last year’s semi-finals. He had quite an easy way among the best eight players this year as Alberto Martin had given up the match before it even started.

So far the greatest surprise of the tournament is the doubles pair Jebavy, Zeman. They enrolled into the tournament with a free card of the Czech Tennis Association and in the quarterfinals they surprisingly defeated No 1 seed pair Lewinsky, Shkoch. That Hrbaty and Pala would reach the semi-finals was not expected at all. “We got together with Dominik and we are slowly accelerating, we are headed to get as high as possible”, stated Peter Pala yesterday. Pala is a splendid doubles player and a non-playing captain of the Czech FedCup Team.
