Thirty-First Edition Proves Successful: A High-Quality and Spectacular Event

08.06.2024 11:19:38 | The Prostejov challenger embarked on its fourth decade with success, delivering memorable experiences and unexpected outcomes for the spectators. Several young players demonstrated their potential to become formidable contenders in the future. The organizers and partners of the UniCredit Czech Open expressed satisfaction as well. "From the perspective of the title partner, I can confidently affirm that the tournament was exceptionally well-organized."

"This corresponded with the size of the crowd, which naturally delighted us. Of course, what is also crucial for our commercial company is the impact of the events we support. The tournament received effective public exposure, thanks in part to the TV broadcasts," stated Jakub Dusilek, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia a.s. "Upon our return to the tournament as the title partner, we agreed on a three-year cooperation, which has just concluded. By the beginning of this fall, we will assess and determine our next steps. Our brand enjoys significant visibility during the tournament, which will undoubtedly influence our decision," said Dusilek regarding potential further collaboration with the Prostėjov Tennis Event.

The tournament was also positively evaluated by Petra Cernoskova, who served as the tournament director for the twenty-sixth time. "I'm pleased that we've received nothing but praise for the organization from all quarters. This is largely due to my dedicated team, who once again executed their duties flawlessly. The tournament week is always a challenging period for us, and we're delighted to have successfully managed it once again," Cernoskova remarked. "The players were generally cooperative, without making excessive demands. The only challenge we faced was heavy rain showers, but we were able to handle that as well. I'm a little disappointed that no Czech player made it to the final matches. However, given the extreme evenness of world tennis, we cannot expect to have a representative in the final every year," she added.

Miroslav Cernosek, the head of the organizing TK PLUS, also commented on the tournament in retrospect. "Our company is dedicated to quality and prestigious projects. A few days ago, the Golden Spike athletics event was very successful, and now we are wrapping up the first year of the fourth decade of the UniCredit Czech Open tournament. Personally, I am pleased that our events have received long-term support from important partners, which is a sign of their satisfaction. From the tournament's perspective, I believe we have not disappointed our partners," said Cernosek. "From a sporting standpoint, our challenger had an excellent level. I watched many matches, and I must say that even players who are not at the top of the rankings can play tennis really well. The current degree of equality in tennis is remarkable; I did not witness a single match of poor quality at this tournament," said the head of TK PLUS.
