09.06.2023 18:03:19 | The one but last day of the tournament traditionally saw the doubles final in which the Czech tennis was represented by Adam Pavlásek. He and the Uruguayan Ariel Behar clashed with the Italian-Spanish pair Bortolotti, Martos Gornes. The first set was very telling about where the match was headed. Pavlásek and Behar were trailing 3:5, but then improved their volleys, won four games in a row and took the first set 7:5. The second set continued in the same vein: the Czech pair broke Bortolotti and Martos Gornes at 4:4 and Pavlásek expertly closed the match with his serve.
"Ariel and I entered the tournament as the top seeds. We are naturally happy to have fulfilled the expectations. Winning at home, before friends and especially family in the stands, is always a great experience. The final was certainly not easy, but we were a bit better and played some really good rallies. I believe the crowd enjoyed and we were happy for their support," said Pavlásek in summary of his feelings about the tournament.
The prizes were presented to the winners by the tournament director Petra Černošková, UniCredit Bank communications director Petr Plocek and Notino representative Radek Šimík. The winners received a EUR 6,845.00 cheque, trophies, Taittinger champagne and a gift collection from Notino. The runner-ups received a EUR 4,050.00 cheque and gift bags from Notino.
