Last year we agreed to act as a sponsor of the tournament for the period of three years and that is therefore understandable. It does not mean our cooperation will come to an end after that period of time, we are just in the middle of it. We are looking forward to this year’s tournament because of the promising programme and quality players.
Recently, men's tennis has been making us happy again. It is not only owing to Jiri Lehecka's results as there are many other talented players. Tennis fans have a good chance that recent period of great achievements will come back. We see tennis as a sport in which fair play is still held in high regard and we are a bank that treats our clients fairly. Therefore, the connection with tennis makes sense from our standpoint. I am looking forward to the Prostejov tournament and expect interesting matches. I will also participate in a side tournament for guests and clients of our bank. In both cases, I believe that sportsmanship will prevail and we will have a good time.
I am delighted we will celebrate the 30th anniversary together this year. It truly is an amazing number. It reveals the enormous perseverance and efforts the organisers had to put in the tournament over three decades. They have been making great sacrifices to tennis in Prostejov which as they have been organizing the tournament for such a long time. They say you cannot do sport without money, and I add you also cannot do sport without the dedication of organizers, which no money can compensate for.
