The seventh-seeded Lukáš Rosol will face Benjamin Hassan of Germany (No. 349 in ATP), then Jiří Veselý will face twenty-year old Sandro Ehrat of Switzerland who got to the tournament based on his ITF ranking according to the new rules; he ranks 409th in ATP. On Monday Jiří Lehečka defeated his native Jan Šátral with ease and, in the second round today, he is to meet twenty-two year old Daniel Elahi Galan of Columbia who is the ninth seed in Prostějov and who ranked 197th in ATP before the tournament. The first match on Court No. 1 will see the qualifier Pavel Nejedlý vs. the tenth seed Federico Gaio of Italy (No. 202 in ATP).
