06.06.2018 19:50:12 | Elias Ymer of Sweden defeated Veselý by playing an accurate and consistent game and prevented the Czech player from winning the Challenger in Prostějov for the fourth time and becoming the tournament record holder. “I was really hard to play against Veselý on his home court. I knew he had already won the tournament three times and I expected a tough match. Veselý really was a tough opponent. I had to try hard the entire match and I’m glad I won it,“ said Elias Ymer after the match.
In the next round, he will meet Jaume Munar of Spain who defeated Adam Pavlásek. What does he expect from the match? “He’s played very well recently. I saw his match at French Open and he was really good. I think it’ll be a tough match but I believe I’ll have a chance.“
What does Ymer think about the tournament in Prostějov? “It’s my second time here. Everybody says the tournament in Prostějov is the greatest and most difficult Challenger in the world. All the best players of the world come here. One thing is for sure, you guys provide a wonderful service and I like it here very much.“
