"I wanted to rely on my style of play which I have unfortunately been unable to find for a long time. Michnev and I know each other, we have played many sparring matches. This match was unfortunately completely different in the strong wind," Pavlasek said after the match.
"My performance was not what I wished it would be. But I am glad that I won in the difficult conditions. It was not much about tennis but more about my head which has not been my strength recently…" There was a very strong wind during the match. "It was unpleasant for both of us. I did not know what was coming, when it was going to change. It was just knocking up and waiting for a chance. I am happy that I survived that," added Pavlasek who would like to repeat his last year's results in the home Prostejov environment. Last year, he was just one ball away from advancing to the semifinal over Inigo Cervantes of Spain.
