Was it really so? “The score may suggest it was easy, but the match was actually quite competitive. Khachanov is a great young player and he’s coming up very quickly. I knew it would be a tough match, but I hoped my experience would help me beat him. I was a bit luckier in some moments but I was not sure I would win until the last point.“
Khukushkin will meet Fucsovics of Hungary in the final. What does he expect from him? “We already played once some time ago. He’s made it through to the final from the qualification and he’s defeated many good players on the way. He’s really played great the last week and I can expect nothing but another tough match. I’m looking forward to the final and I’ll try to do my best.“ How does Khukushkin enjoy his time in Prostějov? “It’s a small town which I like. There are many opportunities to practise and get ready for matches, which also helped me win this week. As far as the tournament is concerned it’s one of the most prestigious Challengers on the tour which attracts many good players every year. Even though it is not an ATP tournament it is a great Challenger and almost everybody talks about it.“
