31.05.2016 15:33:21 | The draw of the UniCredit Czech Open saw Ricardas Berankis play the promising player Zdeněk Kolář. Everybody was wondering how good an opponent the young player of TK AGROFERT Prostějov would be for the top seed. Berankis won 6-4, 6-4. How did Berankis review the match? He broke the opponent’s serve at the beginning of each set and, we can say, the remaining course of the match had a more or less standard development... “It wasn’t easy. He broke me back and I served really badly. Anyway, it was my first match here and I’m quite satisfied with my performance. The running area of the court was rather slippery and the surrounding was a bit slower. It took me a while to get used to it.“
How would he evaluate his opponent? “Kolář is a good player and has a great potential. However, he must improve many things. If he works in the right direction, he may become a really good player.“
What does Berankis think about the tournament? “It’s been very good. The hotel is right here, there are many practise courts, everything’s been working great so far.“
