Jiri Kunert, the chairman of the board of directors and the general manager of UniCredit Bank, and Dr. Miroslav Cernosek, director of TK PLUS, entered into a cooperation contract for a period of another three years. The renowned bank will continue to be the titular partner of the greatest Czech tournament.
“We appreciate the cooperation which guarantees a great level of our tournament in the following years. I appreciate Jiri Kunert’s generous and helpful attitude to our tournament. It was him who helped to develop the philosophy of the challenger in Prostejov. He always cared about the attendance of Czech players. They were a guarantee that our tournament will be very popular among the public.“
What did the head of the Prostejov tennis say about this year’s tournament? “Our challenger satisfied all requirements of a good project: participation of Czech players, perfect support from the crowd, and, thanks to UniCredit Bank and the Czech Tennis Association, the necessary financial backing. Petra, my wife and the tournament director, did a great job again. I’d like to thank everybody who contributed to the success. Everybody really helped UniCredit Czech Open to keep the great organizational standard. I don’t want to think about the future of our tournament. We’ve given up debates about possible upgrading of the category a long time ago. We will, in cooperation with our partners, continue to do what we have done for years and what we are successful in.“
