Kvitova appears at UniCredit Czech Open

06.06.2014 15:01:25 | The clay part of the season is over and Petra Kvitova has started her preparation for the Wimbledon. Her leg which she injured at the French Open is getting better and the world’s number six practises on artificial grass in Kostelec na Hana now. Her coach David Kotyza has introduced another new practising method. The tennis player improves her movement on grass using a football. “We practise kicking the ball to improve the agility. The agility such as the chopping and coming to the net is very important on grass,“ said the Wimbledon winner of 2011 to the press in Prostejov.

After her elimination from the French Open, she started to practise on Thursday for the first time. She could still feel the pulled right thigh muscle. “It’s getting better, but I don’t play my hundred percent. I don’t want to force it but I believe I’ll be all right," said Kvitova. She will traditionally play a tournament in Eastbourne before leaving for Wimbledon.
