What actually is the “footbag”?
Footbag is a fast spreading sport which is popular among young people all around the world. It is often referred to as the Hacky Sack. Footbag has been a competitive sport since the 1970s. Many footbag tournaments and festivals are held the world over every year. Hacky Sack was invented in summer 1972. Mike Marshall made a new toy from beans sewn in a sock and learned to do a few tricks with it. His friend John Stalberger helped him to popularize the toy and gave it the name “Hacky Sack”.
