Will Czech tennists win their ninth title at UniCredit Czech Open?

07.05.2014 13:25:38 | Czech tennists won eight titles over the twenty-year history of Prostejov Challenger - Jan Hajek (2006, 2009, 2010) and Radek Stepanek (2003, 2004, 2013) won three times and Bohdan Ulihrach (1997, 2001) won twice. Argentina celebrated thrice at Morava National Tennis Centre, it was when Guillermo Coria (2002) , Sergio Roitman (2007) and Agustin Calleri (2008) won their titles. Australia won twice in Haná – Richard Fromberg's successful 1997 and 1998 seasons. But the list of champions goes on: Slovak Karol Kucera (1994), Italian Andrea Gaudenzi (1995), Russian Andrei Chesnokov (1996), Swedish Andreas Vinciguera (2000), Finnish Jarkko Nieminen (2005), Yuri Schukin from Kazakhstan (2011) and Florian Mayer from Germany in the 2012 season.

UniCredit Czech Open winners statistics are clearly dominated by Czech tennis players so far.
So how about the participating and defeated finalists? Czechs made it to the finals nine times – Tomas Zadrazil (now Anzari) in 1994, Jiri Novak in 1995, 2001 and 2002 , Michal Tabara in 2004, Ivo Minar in 2005, Radek Stepanek in 2010, Jan Hajek in 2012 and Jiri Vesely in 2013. Argentina and Spain twice; Brazil, Australia, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy and Slovakia once each.
