Now, we are witnessing the tournament scenario of 2010, when all matches were played on the AGROFERT Arena center court under a retractable roof. So far, it looks no matches will be played on the other courts of the Morava National Tennis Center.
How is the tournament director Petra Langrová satisfied with UniCredit Czech Open tournament cast? "We managed to get some excellent players again, we wanted as many Czechs to participate as possible and we succeeded. Except for Tomáš Berdych who cannot play at our tournament as a Top Ten player, the UniCredit Czech Open will present all top Czech players and majority of the Davis Cup team. When I am to compare the UniCredit Czech Open with e.g. the ATP tournaments in Nice and in Bucarest, we are better off. On top of that, we have the winners of both of these tournaments here; Rosol won in Bucurest and Montanes did in Nice. We also have the Bucarest tournament finalist here – Garciu-Lopeze. We can therefore say that our challenger has at least the same quality as both of these ATP tournaments. Tomáš Berdych will of course participate at accompanying events, and he will be one of the people to hand over the awards. And the weather?
