Mr. Jiri Kunert and Mr. Ivo Kaderka have really done incredible work for the tournament and let me share a few details in this respect.
Our club and Prostejov enjoyed not only a nice week, but actually two nice weeks. Prostejov’s players excelled at Roland Garros. There was only one exception: Klara Zakopalova represents Sparta, which also our club anyway. Petra Kvitova and Tomas Berdych showed great performance in Paris. Adam Pavlasek unfortunately lost in the junior semifinals. He defeated the top-seed but lost to the third-seed. As far as our tournament is concerned, I’ve had an excellent finals match, Hajek showed an excellent performance in the finals. Let me also to mention the enjoyable moments in Paris where the World Champions in tennis were presented. Out of the sixty basic tennis categories, two players from Prostejov, Petra Kvitova and Jiri Vesely, received an award. The FedCup team, which was also lead by our players, was awarded too. The presence of five hundred greatest personalities in tennis made the ceremonial presentation even more enjoyable. Prostejov tennis definitely made us very happy in the last two weeks.”
