05.06.2012 16:21:02 | It took Radek Stepanek only 42 minutes on the Center Court to qualify for the second round of UniCredit Czech Open. Danai Udomchoke did not win a single game against the Czech and had to bow to his opponent’s skills and experience. Stepanek played with ease and entertained the audience. “I got into my stride and continuously put pressure on the opponent. It was rather cold, so I limbered up well and I maintained the operating temperature for the entire match,“ said the winner.
Stepanek showed great perfomance and double-bageled his opponent in Prostejov. Czech No. 2 was pleased by the unusual result. “I’ve been on the tour for a few years but I can’t remember anybody winning twice 6:0. It has probably been the very first time,“ said Stepanek with a smile and admitted that possibility of a unique result flashed through his mind during the last game. “My father always said that all that matters is the last winner of the match. However, it just appeared to me that it would be nice to win without losing a single game,“ said Stepanek.
