04.06.2011 12:39:04 | At the end of UniCredit Czech Open an exhibition match took place in which former stars of Czech tennis appeared in front of the full auditorium of Agrofert Arena in Prostejov. Ivan Lend with Hana Mandlikova played against another mixed pair Milos Mecir an Jana Novotna. Everybody enjoyed the game and although the scoreboard showed 6:4 for Mecir-Novotna in the end it was clear that the result did not matter. Read some facts about the participants of the exhibition game.
Hana Mandlikova: best ranking of ATP no. 3, four fold Grand Slam winner, two appearances in the finals at Wimbledon and two at US Open, first junior World Champion and winner of Federation Cup in 1983, 1984, 1985.
Jana Novotna: twelve years at WTA tour, best ranking ATP no. 2 in 1997, three appearances in the finals at Wimbledon and one victory there in 1998, excellent doubles players, three fold Olympic winner.
