Stepanek revealed the cause of his defeat: “After the first successful set I lost all energy, my legs turned heavy, I didn’t have enough power to run for balls and, in addition, Schukin was able to use many useless mistakes I made. The third set was the same. I was leading 3:0 and at the score of 3:1 I had several breakpoints but I was not able to use them, I simply lost my power.”
