31.05.2011 10:47:17 | As usual, Radek Stepanek is coming to Prostejov to play at UniCredit Czech Open with great optimism. Last year he unfortunately quit the final game due to health complications while he was recovering from a long term illness and was trying to find new possibilities for the further development of his career. "This time I came to win, there is no other ambition I can have. Well, I am at home here, I have many fans and the environment in Prostejov is always perfect," said Stepanek upon the arrival to Hana region where the tournament takes place.
At UniCredit Czech Open he is Czech no. 1 – ATP no. 57. In the first round he is going to clash wth Slovak Ivo Klec (ATP no. 237) who lost to De Voest Rick, RSA, in the first round of qualification at Rolland Garros. How did Stepanek comment on the tennis battle before its beginning? “It is the biggest tournament in our country that is taking its own way. The organizers devote a lot of powers to flawless flow of the event, everything is well prepared in time and there is no confusing haste. They know what they can afford in the domestic environment and within this framework they are doing their job very well.”
