05.06.2010 13:57:22 | "Prostejov’s challenger has been perfectly organized for many years and it is a real festival of Czech tennis," said the head of the Czech Tennis Association, Mr. Ivo Kaderka, after the tournament finished.
"The level of participants was high, the exhibition was perfect, we had the Davis Cup here, Tomas Berdych arrived – everything was perfect. Mirek Cernosek did not hesitate a minute to send a private plane for Tomas to Paris, he always tries to do anything he can to increase the level of the tournament."
The Prostejov’s tournament has been labelled as Czech Open since 2001. "I visited Mirek Cernosek then and told him I had never seen a better tennis event in the Czech Republic and that it could be good to have it called Czech Open. Mirek is a visionary and started to build a philosophy and tradition of the Czech Open event and he and his colleagues reached the perfectness of the event," added Kaderka.
