In the end I was able to reverse the development of the match, won qualification and then even succeeded in a very important match against seed no. 8, American Russel."
A victory over Spaniard Alcaide followed and in the semi-final he defeated Frederic Gil. "After I won the first set my self-confidence increased and I believed in victory although I was losing 0:3 and 1:4 in the second set."
In the semi-final he is going to clash with his club colleague, Jan Hajek. "We know each other quite well, we are training together, but I have never defeated him in any tournament so far."
