05.06.2009 08:31:18 | Anna Kournikova, the former doubles no. 1 and singles no. 8 in ATP ranking, will appear in an exhibition match on the central court of AGROFERT Aréna in Prostejov at 5.00 p.m. today.
Anna is going to play with Prostejov born Karel Novacek, former world’s no. 8, against the pair Jiri Novak, Petra Pichalova-Langrova, the director of UniCredit Czech Open. “It definitely was a good decision to invite Anna to take part in our associated events. She is charismatic and very skilful in the world of modelling and show-business. She attracts huge interests among our business partners as well as tennis public,” says the head of tennis club in Prostejov Miroslav Cernosek.
Petra Pichalova-Langrova was the world’s no. 50 in her career, Novak made it to the fifth position in the ATP ranking. Anna Kournikova will also play together with a hockey superstar Jaromir Jagr in a match against the partners of the tournament. It will be when she will have opened the golf tournament in Slavkov by Brno and before she will take part in the VIP party and present charity cheques.
