“Andreyev duly applied for visas and was supposed to receive it on Friday, however, he had not received it and was told to come on Monday. But it was a National holiday then and he had to wait until Tuesday morning. His departure from Paris was scheduled for half past ten on Tuesday. Everything was arranged so that he could appear on the court in a match against the Ukrainian Sergeyev in the first round of UniCredit Czech Open,” said the director of the tournament Petra Píchalová-Langrová. “Today at half past ten I phoned him and he said he was still waiting for visas. I instantly understood he would not come to Prostejov as he could not manage to turn up to catch the beginning of the match.”
